Eligibility for Benefits
- Full and frank disclosure of medical conditions on application and renewal (of membership)
- Provision of notice to the MBF within 30 days of illness or injury
- The provision of appropriate medical evidence
- CASA or DAME evidence of suspension/cancellation of Class 1 Medical.
Members’ eligibility for Benefits is at all times subject to the Rules. Austair retains the discretion to determine not to pay Benefits where the facts of a claim are incomplete or in doubt for any reason.
If you are entitled to receive, or are receiving any kind of payment, such as WorkCover, under state or federal legislation, you must complete that entitlement before you are eligible to claim with the MBF.
